Angry Reginald

Reginald

Reginald the Lion is a lion who lives in the African landscape - particularly in the savanna.

Physical Appearance

Reginald has yellow skin around his body with an orange mane surrounding his head. Due to Reginald living in an African setting, he is based on an African lion.

Personality

Though Reginald is often seen sleeping, he frequently gets bothered during afternoon naps often showing a grumpy personality whenever he gets disturbed. To his personality, he frequently becomes grumpy, due to a lack of sleep, which even results him to be even in a very grouchy mood.

In a story that focuses on Reginald having a big sleep in the savanna, he frequently becomes extremely angry with various noises that bother him - particularly with animals interacting with the grass, then he roars to silence them. However, after telling the animals to leave him alone and give him a quiet nap, Reginald did not notice that the grass next to him started becoming taller with several insects bothering him. This leads Reginald to get help from the other animals he encountered, which he later shows a theme of self-improvement.

Despite his grumpiness, Reginald occasionally shows a calm personality to other animals - albeit when in a happy mood.

Trivia

  • Reginald is the first character whose name starts with the letter "R".
  • Reginald's name is derived from the Latin name "Reginaldus" which means "king" in Latin, which could be fitting for Reginald himself being a lion, which turn could be a possible reference to lions being referred to as "kings of the jungle" due to their raw power and strength.
  • It is mentioned that Reginald has a mother in Season 2.
  • His deep voice can be told that it might sound like an African accent. However, it could be assumed if he were the only animal to speak with an African accent.
  • He likes having juicy bones as his favourite security blanket.
  • Though friends with other animals, lions in real life are actually predators to other animals.
