Eddie the Hippo is the nephew of Molly who lives in Africa.
Physical Appearance
Eddie has the same blue coloration as any typical hippo that appears in the series having a color but is much smaller than Molly. Specifically, Eddie resembles one of the incidental hippos that taunted Henrietta.
Personality
Eddie often shows a very playful personality. Despite being playful, he is advised by the other animals of Africa telling him the importance of being safe - especially when it comes to the dangers he encounters along the way. As Eddie rarely talks, his dialogues mostly consist of giggling when happy and crying when sad or upset. In spite of this, he listens carefully when it comes comes to being carefully so that he gets a better understanding of what he should do in a safe area and what he shouldn't do when in a dangerous area - especially when it comes to the currents near a waterfall.

- Eddie shares similar traits with Barbara. Both, he and Barbara are depicted as baby calves that chase a butterfly. The difference is that Eddie is a hippo and Barbara is a bison.
