Isabel

Isabel the Flamingo is a pink flamingo who lives in the African landscape.

Physical Appearance

Like most flamingos in the series, Isabel has a plumage of pink feathers, an orange beak, and light pink wings.

Isabel's original design in Season 1

Originally, Isabel was introduced in Season 1 of the series where she had no eyelashes and her design was identical to that of the standard incidental flamingos. However, starting in Season 2, Isabel retains the same appearance she had in the first season. Unlike in the first season, Isabel is given eyelashes located above her eyes whereas unlike in the first season, she does not have any eyelashes. This was likely done to make it look like Isabel is a female flamingo.

Personality

Isabel mostly serves as an instructor to her students Mirabelle or Annebelle often inhabiting Waterlily Lake. Isabel speaks with an Italian accent and occasionally says words in Italian. Despite her kind personality, Isabel occasionally shows a rather mean or bossy personality to her students and other animals. However, other occasions would often show Isabel with a helpful personality while others often show her busy chatting with Annabelle and Mirabelle and occasionally she would appear with them in groups. Despite her personality, Isabel does not count as a genuine villain but rather an anti-heroine.

Trivia

• Isabel is the first character to have a redesign starting in Season 2.
  • Isabel originally did not have eyelashes starting in Season 1. However, beginning in Season 2, Isabel was given eyelashes, making her one of the characters to receive a redesign in a later season.
• She has a dancing partner named Seamus in Episode 18.
• She and Pauline are friends.
• Isabel occasionally shows a very bossy personality to the other animals and eventually Pauline as revealed in Episode 32. However, she does not count as a villain. She is instead counted as an anti-heroine.
• Isabel is the second character to speak with a foreign accent besides English, Scottish, and Irish. The first is Jazz (Hispanic) and the third is Hercule Mustache (French).
• Isabel was voiced by Adrienne Posta.
• Isabel is based on a greater flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus).
